Attention Lexington Two employees, Lex2 will be moving to a new email system Monday afternoon/evening (June 13, 2011). While your email address will not change, you will have a new email password. Your building supervisor (Principal, Asst Principal, etc) will have your new password.
The children have been learning to retell stories that are read to them, which will help them better retell stories they read themselves. This is a difficult skill, so please practice it at home with your child. The children are continuing to become stronger readers. Like any other skill, improved reading skills only happen when the children spend time reading. Please make sure they have books to read at home. You can access great books at the Public Library for free is you need more your child to read.
The children are comparing the weight of objects using a balance scale. They make predictions first, then they compare the two items to see if their prediction was correct. The children are also review telling time. However, this time there is more emphasis on learning how to set the time on the clock.
Love,
Mrs. Grant and Mrs. Baxley
